Pasta with Asparagus cream: Green Cooking Method

Pasta with vegetables: Eco-Friendly Cooking Method

I used a type of Eco-Friendly cooking that allows me to save the water from the pasta with asparagus cream!

INGREDIENTS

  • Green asparagus
  • Pasta
  • Oil

ASPARAGUS NUTRIENTS

Asparagus is a nutrient-rich vegetable known for its various health benefits. It is a good source of vitamins, particularly vitamin K, folate, and vitamin A. Additionally, asparagus contains essential minerals such as potassium and provides dietary fiber. It is low in calories and may contribute to digestive health. Asparagus also contains antioxidants, which can help combat oxidative stress in the body. Moreover, it has been associated with potential anti-inflammatory and diuretic effects. Incorporate asparagus into your diet for a nutritious boost! But remember that variety is the FIRST rule for nutrition.

HOW TO COOK ECO-FRIENDLY

That’s my favorite cooking method: when you can save water and all the nutrients inside, at the same time! First, boil the water and put the asparagus inside. When they are done, get them with a hole ladle, so that you can save the water! That now is green because it’s full of minerals, nutrients and vitamins from asparagus. Then put the pasta and let’s cook it for the time necessary. You will see the pasta become a little green because absorbs the nutrients of the vegetables. Chop most of the asparagus to make a cream and it’s ready on the table, enjoy it!

HOW TO PRESERVE YOUR PASTA

You can eat this plate for two days before, but for sure it’s better before. Eating something fresh keeps every nutrient alive. With time a lot of vitamins degrade with air, light, and oxygen!

TAKE YOUR GREEN ACTION

Did you know that water colored by vegetables is like a supplement for plants? So save it! Drain the pasta in another pan or with a stirrer and then, let the water colder. If there is salt inside, dilute it with at least 3 times the amount of water you have, and give it to your plant or tree outside!

Colorful vegetables are part of any diet, not just vegetarians! If at this moment in your life you have particular needs, find the most suitable diet for you.
